We are two women. We are both immigrants. We moved to a foreign country in search of life-altering experiences and in some ways, out of necessity. While our move abroad has enriched our lives in many ways, it will never change the fact that we left our family and friends behind to immerse ourselves in unfamiliar cultures, languages, social systems, and economic structures.
